The Dominion Robert Glass Library is 'Preparing to greet the 21st Century' by providing its patrons quality resources, programs and services. We will exert great effort to enhance and increase our Reference and General Collections, and provide access to a plethora of resources that extend beyond our walls.

Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) is the provider of direct access to our automated library system, COSMOS. Upon entering the library you may access our holdings using the OPAC computers located to your right. Interlibrary Loan (ILL) the interlibrary loan (ILL) services are available to all users of the library.

Interlibrary loan (ILL) provides a borrowing service of books or copies of library resources that are not housed in the Dominion Robert Glass Library collection.

Information Technology Services is the provider of direct Internet and E-mail services by accessing the computers located in the Information Technology area of the library. Computers are made available with word processing capabilities using Microsoft Office.

Library Orientation/Tours are designed to instruct patrons on how to access and use the library collections and equipment effectively. This orientation is available to groups upon request.

Periodical Services

  • Current periodicals are available in various subject matters to support the total needs of the college community. The periodicals are arranged in alphabetical order by title. Please feel free to copy any needed materials from this collection.
  • Bound periodicals are available of back issues of various periodicals. To search this resource, please use the periodical index.

Special Collections Archives houses the historical data of Texas College, books of W. R Banks, (6th) President of Texas College, alumni records, and the history of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church (CME).

Christian Index is the official publication of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church (CME).

Master's Theses Collection . Research topics by students who received their Master's degree in Education at Texas College. Blade Studies Collection includes: a) the Book Collection, b) the Reference Collection, and c) the Bound Periodicals.

The Black Studies Collection contains extensive material by and about the African-American experience. This Collection complements the curriculum in American History, Black History, Education, Sociology, Art and Languages and Literature. The Black Studies Collection is one of the largest collections in East Texas; this Collection serves the public schools and the general community.
