Accepting Financial Aid Awards

After all required documents have been submitted to the Texas College Financial Aid Office and your award has been packaged, you will receive an Award Letter in the mail with your offer of financial assistance.

  • Review awards
  • Line out and initial the awards you decline and return the award letter to the Financial Aid Office.
  • Read the Satisfactory Academic Policy.
  • If awarded Work-Study please contact the Work-Study Coordinator.

Student Loan Information
If you were awarded and accepted a Direct subsidized and/or unsubsidized loan you will need to complete the online process at www.StudentLoans.gov.

  • ALL students accepting a Direct subsidized and/or unsubsidized loan at Texas College must complete this process.
  • ALL borrowers must complete entrance counseling at www.mappingyourfuture.org.
  • When completing the online process you will be asked to supply two personal references. You will need the following information for these references:
    • Full Name
    • Complete Address
    • Telephone Number
      Note: Your references must live at two separate addresses.

Please note that if this process is not completed you will not receive your student loan funding.
