Early Admissions

A student may be admitted to Texas College upon completion of the junior year in high school.  Criteria to be used in determining early admission to the College include:

  • A combined score of 1,000 or above on the SAT (equivalent score on ACT is acceptable)
  • Academic placement in the upper 10 percent of high school class
  • Classified as a High School Honor Student
  • An evaluation by the Admissions/Readmit Committee
  • All other requirements as outlined for the freshman student

Students will be limited to enrolling in one course per semester.  Full college credit is awarded.

PROCESS:
Application

Download a paper application for admission or submit online application to Texas College, Office of Admissions. For the application to be processed a  non-refundable $20 application fee (cashier’s check or money order) must accompany the application.  
Transcripts

  • High school transcript

If submitting application by mail, send application form, non-refundable $20 application fee, and official high school transcript—must be mailed directly from the  high school—to Texas College, Office of Admissions, 2404 N. Grand Avenue, Tyler, TX 75702.
